In rhyme:
I’m in my 30’s and I’m married I’m very very sweet
I like writing I like reading and I really love to eat
I’ve been married for 15 years and I’m still quite bemused
I’m a mother of 5 children who I often leave confused
I am from Saudi Arabia, from Riyadh to be precise
I wish I could invent a teleportation device
So I could spend the day in primrose hill and lower Sloan
And run away from chaos when I need to be alone
But I love the KSA and its blistering dusty heat
It’s where my family is and that you cannot beat
I have sisters and brothers who are everything to me
And a mother and a father who fill my life with glee
And little nieces and nephews round up my little tribe
They are each and all a blessing in a way I can’t describe
My blog is for my pleasure and about my little life
It’s about 4 little children and a husband and a wife
If your looking for controversy and a little shock
Then dear reader I am afraid you are out of luck
While I hope to change the world someday
For me, this is just not the way

I am a relatively new Emirati mom. My boy is 8 months old. I am new to parenthood and live in Dubai. I have a private diary somewhere where I document something similar to what you do here, except that mine has more photos and less words. I am not a fan of posting personal family photos in public. I am also not a fan of sharing personal names lol. I can see that you are a like. You inspired me to go public, but in the style of no personal photos. I don’t know how to go about creating a similar page, but I will look around. For now, I have your blog in my favorite website list.
Thank you so much! I have neglected it quite a bit but I miss it and was planning a ‘come back’. As the kids get older it get s a bit more difficult to talk about them honestly. It seems like a breach of trust and privacy. I will have to pass by them what I write about them before I publish!
Honestly just go for it. It’s so much fun and surprisingly it’s helpful to other mothers! Which is incredible.
