يأَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ ارْجِعِى إِلَى رَبِّكِ رَّاضِيَةٍ مَّرْضِيَّةً فَادْخُلِى فِى عِبَادِى وَادْخُلِى جَنَّتِى
O tranquil soul. Come back to your Lord well-pleased and well pleasing. Enter then among My servants and enter My Paradise.
Last Tuesday my grandmother passed away. There was no one like her by the admission of anyone who met her. Anyone who was lucky enough to have known her. Our life as a family orbited around her and we all seem to have lost our center of gravity.
I am blessed with my parents and my siblings and husband and children but there was always a direction my day headed in. There was always a person we came back to see. There was always someone we wanted to go to and spend time with and she is gone now.
Now something new happens. Something that we don’t know and we don’t know if we will like. But we thank God for everything he has given us and we have faith she is with the One who loves her more than we can love her.
